07/05/2007 21:24hrs 1 Alarm fire, 3131 BORRMAN AVENUE BTN UNION & DEAD END. (AVONDALE) (OFF M.L. KING) several calls reporting a building on fire... T32...Smoke in the area! T32 reporting a 2 story frame- w/f on 2nd floor & rear. D1 reports 2 exposures - heavy fire. 21:27- 2nd alarm: E23, 9 T3 R2 22:45 - D1--Fire under control. Companies pulling walls & overhauling for approx. 2 hours. Long haul from Mt. Washington so I didn't get any shorts of active fire! Great stop by fire fighters on the scene to prevent the fire from extending into the exposures. Lots of hose to repack! photos by Bill Strite
